How many people here have taken up a form of meditation? Has it helped? I am wondering if it might help with catching the bus. It might help maintain stable pursuit of the goal and basic courage to go through with it.

This is an interesting perspective. How mindfulness could be used to CTB I've never thought of this before, but it seems plausible. I think where things get tricky (for me at least) is my emotions take over and they tend to lead the show over my head. I'm a new student to DBT, but it seems to be another waste of time imo.
Yeah it could help precisely be managing the emotions. I know some monks have ctb'd as protest by setting themselves on fire and they appeared to be able to fully manage the fear and pain. So maybe increasing my meditation practice will at least help with CTB when the time comes since I don't think it will revolutionize my life enough to make CTB no longer desirable.
