MDB Duties Payable in USA?

My MDB regulator will be shipped soon by DHL. Will duties be payable for USA and how does that typically work?

I had a dutiable item sent to me from abroad via DHL. DHL paid the import duty to Customs, and invoiced me for the amount, plus an administration fee, before they would deliver the item.

So did they call you and you paid with a ccard?

It was for a second hand mobile phone that a relative in the Middle East had given me.

DHL sent a letter to me at the delivery address, explaining the situation and how much I had to pay.

I followed the payment instructions, logged on, paid by card, then everything went as per normal.

Fairly straightforward really.

This was in accordance with UK HM Revenue and Customs procedures, so I can't say if the same applies in your neck of the woods. Contact DHL and ask them.
