• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I got a script for a box of Emsam patches, which is an MAOI. There are a bunch of interaction warnings with these things. I stopped using them because I won't be able to afford them next year since I'll have a much worse health insurance plan, and the med runs $2k a month.

Anyway, I keep wondering if sticking the entire box of patches on and taking a med it interacts badly with would do the job. I have anti-nausea meds.

Nothing is getting better. I had hopes after last year, which was definitely an improvement over 2023, but things are back to being miserable again and my last medication hope for depression (Emsam) is not going to be an option for me so I'm out of luck on everything. Nothing works. I just had to end my relationship because Prozac and perimenopause permanently took away my libido. 😔

I recommend against it. To be honest interactions are unpredictable and can cause very unpleasant symptoms and don't ensure your death. I'm afraid you'll end up calling an ambulance by yourself due to severe illness and finding yourself in a psych ward.
I'm sorry you're feeling like you've run out of options. But I believe your wellbeing still matters more than such a bad bet.

I don't remember at the top of my head but Selegiline is an MOA-B inhibitor, though it starts inhibiting MAO-A at higher doses as well iirc.
But the fact that it's transdermal might mess with it as well.

Also, dying of serotonin toxicity would be very very unpleasant and take a long time.
Adding a lot of stimulants and drinking like a bottle of soy sauce or something would probably put you in a hypertensive crisis, whether you actually die from that or just live in with organ damage though is another question.
