This is why I've never even acknowledged partial as my way to ctb because I know I would suffer badly from SI and stop myself. I think whoever does this to ctb OR full suspension are brave af!!!

Exactly. The determination. I believe a certain level of nihilism and antinatalism is necessary and probably even correct to adopt as a thought process. Maybe now, maybe later. We all have to go somehow. Let's see

I tried it again today. Only came close to passing out and head felt like it would explode. I'm starting to think it's only good for blacking out and the occasional death.

It doesn't seem either foolproof or painless to me yet.

Either that, or you would have to have both these things together at the same time :

1. Desire to suicide very strongly ( it can't be a simple thing like you just want to escape pain)

2. Willpower and strength to do it till the end

Are u dropping your weight fast because that worked better for me. I come close to passing out with convulsions and my ears ringing with wierd taste in my tongue etc.
Also i keep the rope above my adams apple

SI really is terrible and I have the same problem, even though I have experienced passing out before from other things the feeling of panic gets triggered as soon as it's about to happen from partial because I know it'll be my death. Might have to go full eventually but the the pain is really offputting, it's endlessly frustrating to lack this much willpower for overcoming instincts.
