I don't know if you have to do much to make it look like a murder. Cops always looking to convict someone for something they had nothing to do with. Case closed!

If you make it look like murder it may be thoroughly investigated, and I don't know how anyone could possibly fully hide the truth to deceive investigators.

easier to make it seem like an accident imo. especially with drowning, or autoerotic asphyxiation. if you self harm, you could make it look like you accidentally cut too deep. or overdose on opiates.

it's more involved, but if you could pass the mental and physical tests, you could join your country's military, and 'accidentally' get killed by an enemy or friendly fire.

Your family is going to have guilt either way. Doesn't matter if they think it was accidental or intentional they will still feel guilty. Plus leaving your family with the mystery of who killed you or how you accidentally died is just a different kind of pain.
