Replying to this thread because I was hit with a wave of intense loneliness tonight and I wanted to maybe connect with someone who understands the struggle and won't judge.

I'm 20, afab, grew up in Florida and now living in Asia. I don't leave the house much- I spend most of my time drawing and watching movies/shows/YouTube videos (or reading ao3). I'm into the walking dead, yellowjackets, severance, game of thrones, lotr/the hobbit, arcane and house. Honestly I don't really exist beyond art and fandom, there's not much here besides that.

I've always wanted to CBT and that's been my only goal for a while. I have no plans for the future or self betterment and will hopefully CBT this year.

I'm very much an anxiety riddled person and I've found a lot of difficulty in making/maintaining friendships and interacting with people in general, which is why I'm here. I'm not a very chatty person but I am a good listener so if you need to vent I will try my best to support you :)

On Writing, Worldbuilding, and Reading

I'm an aspiring storyteller and world-builder who is currently diving into the art of writing. I am also into map-making (I am learning CC3+). Currently trying to get my daydreams onto paper. For a long time, depression kept me from reading, but I'm excited to rediscover that passion. While fantasy was once my sole escape, I'm now exploring nonfiction and other genres. One book that's truly inspired me is "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." Let me know your favorite books!

On Gym and Personal Hygiene

While I'm working on improving my life, I'm also focusing on my personal hygiene. I'm making an effort to shower regularly, brush my hair and teeth, and keep myself clean even when it's challenging. I'm also hitting the gym and following a diet to lose weight before I head back to college. If you have any tips or advice, I'd really appreciate hearing them!

On Other Stuff

I'm really into coding. I have experience with Java and Python and am currently expanding my skills by learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to code my own website). I started out as a computer science major, but I've recently discovered a passion for literature and storytelling, which has me considering a switch to English.

Hello, I'm 29M from this planet called Earth. I'm autistic and suffer from a chronic illness (a form of arthritis). In real life, aside from my sister I don't have any other friend. In 2021, I lost my job as a software engineer and since then I haven't met many people. Generally, I enjoy solitude but I also like talking with people who are open and non-judgemental.

I read a lot about random topics because my autism (and maybe some ADHD) makes me curious about almost anything. I try not to restrict myself to specific genres, but sci-fi, fantasy, and philosophy are my favorites. I also enjoy writing (limited to my journal), cooking, and coding.

I try to maintain a balanced outlook (neither optimistic nor pessimistic) towards life, but I naturally lean towards pessimism. While I accept that most people are optimistic about their future, I prefer Thomas Ligotti and other pessimistic philosophers' perspective that "coming into existence is not alright and non-existence is preferable to existence." Rust Cohle from True Detective is one of my favorite characters. Am I depressed? I'm not sure.

Many people have told me that I'm a good listener. Even if you feel that we don't have anything in common but want to talk about almost anything, feel free to message me. I ask a lot of questions during conversations but if you think it's a lot, feel free to ask me to stop.

I've acquired most of the tools necessary for my ctb, but don't have a specific date in mind.

Another post on here from me. I am in my 30s, queer and genderqueer, live in the US. Going through extreme chronic illness, chronic pain, and disability issues right now so looking for friends who can handle hearing about that sometimes and won't give me advice or try to make me positive or be weird about it. I'm also mentally ill and autistic and have had a lot of trauma.

I'm around a good amount, but sometimes slow to reply if having pain issues that day and my hands have been messed up lately. But I'm really lonely and going through a particularly hard time with my health and personal life and it's hard to find people who wanna talk to someone who is in a bad space and thinks a lot about the things this forum is about and can just hold space. I also like reading fantasy webnovels, I don't play games except one called osu!, I'm open to trying others if that's your thing, but my laptop is a little crappy and I use linux so choices aren't much. I like Japanese songs, imperial circus decadence are my fav band, I love wagaki band too, don't like the cringy ones with high pitched voices tho, yoasobi and the oral cigarettes are pretty good too.

In terms of ctb, I don't know... I've kinda lost touch with reality in some sense lately, Even if bad/ disappointing thing happen, the "pain" is just momentary. I remember when these feeling used to last longer, It has made life a lot more bearable, but it's been a little weird.
