I'm gonna lose another tooth for sure.
This is honestly so sad.

Damn! I can relate.

I hate going to the dentist's but I've procrastinated so much that if I don't go soon I'll lose like 3 teeth!

Tbf if you go to a dentist when u have to, it would usually be too late to save the teeth.

getting dental implant and replacement tooth are probably not that bad.

but it would be a lot better if people looked after their teeth had they known better or had better mental health.

routine checkup and putting aside a personal health emergency fund is always recommended and goes a long way.

I can relate too. I have two broken teeth in the back, one has been abscessed for three years now. Most of that time, I could have gotten it fixed but my anxiety disorder got in the way of that. My teeth were destroyed by medication and constant vomiting. Now I don't have insurance anymore and can't afford it anyway. I was hoping the abscessed tooth would kill me, but seeing as it's been three years, pretty sure the infection isn't making it's way to my brain anytime soon but it's very slowly eating away at my gum.

If it's painful,
I know in some places like US they provide dental surgery and denture for those who cannot afford it.

they are usually run by dentistry students but they extract a lot of teeth a day during those charitable events and those people provide you denture while u are there, it's like charity looking after the community. I would probably go there if I have to but then again I'm not in US.

Dental health problems stress me out too. And my teeth are pretty bad too, lots of pending major fix still required. It's very concerning.

Are you in a lot of pain? Most of my teeth are rotting and I had a full set of impacted wisdom teeth. I got them removed in hospital but I have been taking strong pain medication ever since. Heath care is free in my country but it is very embarrassing to see the same dentist since I was a toddler and for him to see the gradual deterioration of my teeth since leaving home.
If you are suffering try clove oil if the nerves are damaged. Just don't get addicted to codeine like I am

I have a filling about to break off. I can't even floss around that tooth because the floss catches on it. I refuse to go back to the dentist that put it in and I don't have the money to get it fixed. I'll get the temp stuff from the store if it causes pain.

Ouch these are relatable. I have 1 cavity that came back under a filling, likely a new one on my other molar, my gums are almost nonexistant, all my teeth shift slightly in and out of comfortable positions by the day, and my bottom front 4 teeth are visibly wobbly and clicky and I feel it for a couple others. Going to a dentist would cost money I don't have and only result in pulling most of my teeth.

Wow!

Ok so first, I'm really sorry you guys are going through all of that    I know what it's like :mmm:

As for the wow part... How can you guys be so open like that? I hide everything that isn't perfect as best as I can and feel horrible about it inside even though its not really my fault. You guys are just all talking about it and I'm like 'nope' I guess is what I'm saying. Having it not actually be you probably helps but idk.... I still feel like you all know me even if you don't know my name, ya know? It's not a name that makes the person.

Look at my name. You don't know why I chose that. You don't know my face, or my favorite color, logically speaking I can say nobody knows me. So as long as my comment can somewhat blend in (so nothing inflammatory to draw attention) I can be fairly confident I'm just a ghost shouting into the void and sometimes getting an echo back.

To be also fair even if I reveal something considerable in every post I make how many people are going to wade through them and put together an entire biography of me?

I have 3 clicking teeth at the top of my mouth. Thought they were loose when it first started but have calmed down since. Clicks only when I eat certain food. That is despite cleaning them twice a day use mouthwash and codisyl when I need it. Just typical when we are in something and it's harder to get a dentist.

Ugh I feel you, my teeth feel like they're rotting, I already had perfectly healthy ones pulled as a child, so I can't afford for the ones remaining to be drilled to death or chipped/fall out.
Have had many a panic attack when eating and feeling a "crack" or biting down on something too hard. Been through hell with my mouth/jaw area and teeth, still causing me so many issues.
But you know, I already look and feel like shit in so many other ways, it's just another thing added to the pile. A fucking cruel joke. My body is deteriorating..so unattractive and uncomfortable, and my mind can't bear it.
I'm so sorry you are experiencing this.

Anonymity helps, also you can't really hide what you look like to other people in person (besides the current mask wearing), so that's one of the reasons I isolate. People can be quite dismissive of these types of issues for some bizarre reason, even though they affect people deeply. I'm glad if a thread pops up where people can actually relate and show sympathy, but it's a shame any of us have to experience this bullshit in the first place, on top of already having other issues eating away at us.
Still, only share if you feel comfortable. Also, you can be vague, you don't have to go into great detail. I naturally lean more into a perfectionist personality so I feel absolutely horrible about all these types of problems too, I'm sure most people would..I cannot be who I really am when trapped inside this rotting flesh prison, but I have to accept that I have landed on the exact opposite side of perfection or even just contentment, and that ending my suffering is the only thing left for me.
I hope it all comes to a close for me soon, I've had enough.

Bruxism has really contributed to my problems. I went to a dentistry school hoping for some cheap solutions, but was sent from one department to another. Last one said a thorough exam would be $320 and I probably needed caps on every tooth - total coming to 40-50K. Still don't know how I didn't laugh my head off. I have done a few things myself - dental sand paper (not sure if the technical term) and a filler that I can put on my worst cracks. So far, so good.
