Me too. Imagine if we couldn't sleep? All I do is sleep, but it has made me non-functional.

I feel the same way. All that I have ever wished for is to just pass away peacefully and not have to experience any of this anymore. I've never wanted anything to do with something as horrific and torturous as existing and the fact is that we shouldn't have to struggle so much to free ourselves from a life that we never asked for. At least to me, permanent non existence will always be ideal. I'm tired of thinking the same thoughts and feeling trapped here. Only death could ever bring me the relief that I wish for.

I wish for it every night. I try and will myself to die and despite my great doubt in a god I still pray they would just please heal me or end my life.

I feel like sleep is a way of coping for many, a way of escaping, you know? It's sad that some can't feel the same relieve of simply slipping into a deep sleep and forgetting about everything

Sleep has always been my drug of choice. Since I stopped sleeping properly, things have really gone downhill.

Yes, sleeping is necessary to having balance in your life. Interuppeted sleeping can cause problems. People who stay awake for days doing meth to tend to become psychotic. Check out soldiers behavior after days of non stop fighting. They get to a point that they have no prohibition against committing war atrocities. Sleep is VERY important for mental and physical health.
