When I was a child, I was sometimes happy because I couldn't see the bigger picture. But I do prefer to not live in ignorance (that is my preference).

I'd say I had this feeling since I started college and also more so after college, so I can relate to some degree. As of now, as someone who is nearing 30, I could say that adult life sucks. It is the day in day out grind just to pay bills, exist, and consume. There are small, but significant things in life that I wish to chase, but it's a quandary such that you either have the time and energy, but lack money to do so, or have the money, but lack the time and energy to go and do it. While I'm just getting by as of now, I could only imagine it getting worse when I go full time, even less time to pursue my hobbies the way I like and also getting older, my energy is just not there anymore, it is not the same as if I am in my teens or early 20's.

While I am currently not wanting to desperately exit this shitty existence, I'm just tolerating life enough to exist; though I am passively suicidal. I still wished that I would die peacefully and painlessly.

There is a time when you are just withdrawn from everything and become bedridden . I'm in that phase. I can't even plan my own sucide left alone do something good for myself. I want to die but no way out.

Finding new work is like moving from pulling out my eyeballs out to cutting my balls off. It will just be a different kind of painful experience. Its retarded. I never wanted to be born. This world sucks. Existence contains pain whereas non-existence contains no pain. If I had never been born, I wouldn't even have to kill myself and I would have been spared years of wasted suffering.

Yes and no. Yes you can create your own reality if certain criteria are meet psychologically and physically. On the other hand you can't create your own reality if you don't have the mental hardware and software needed for that. Some people can gain the mental hardware and software needed to create their own reality despite having grown up in terrible situations.

Given all that I do admit that there is a lot of luck involved. But it's a none starter if you don't believe you create your own reality, because at the end of the day our actions to have consequences.
