If there was an afterlife and it was a place I would not suffer in, then I would be for it, but since any ideas of an afterlife are pure fiction, I don't really think about it.

I definitely hope there is nothing after death. How others can experience and acknowledge this hell, and then want more is inherently confusing to me. The idea of life without suffering is nonsensical to me anyway.

I very strongly believe and hope that we just cease existing after we leave this world with this existence not even being a distant memory. To me there is nothing more ideal than being completely unaware of this world for all eternity and being unable to suffer, I see death as solving the true problem which is life in itself. Any afterlife theories are completely fictional to me and were invented by people who were unable to come to terms with the true meaningless nature of existence where we are only destined to return to nothingness.

I just hope it isn't some weird exponential thing where your conciousness sort of fades forever at an ever slower rate from your vantage point but never reaches zero or true "nothingness". Basically you thus experience the process of dying forever. So far I see lots of "tends to zero" or "oscillates around a point" behaviour in various complex processes and it scares me.

That's the exact reason why I don't want the afterlife either. I don't think I will be able to apologize for the pain I will bring with my death, especially my mother. I would have to fully acknowledge that I am about to inflict pain that most people will never feel on a person that is good and loving.

If you're a Christian, and have declared Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you'll go to heaven.
You can do this by saying outloud:
"Lord Jesus, I invite you into my heart. I accept you as my personal savior. I give you my life, for the rest of my life. Please teach me how to live the way I should. The right way. In Jesus name, amen."
If you pray this prayer and mean it with your heart, when and if you die regardless if it's suicide, you'll go to heaven. Even if you're gay, if you've declared Jesus as your personal savior, you'll be saved.
However, if you don't believe in God, and haven't accepted Jesus as your personal savior, then you'll go to hell. That's even if you did good for people, all nonbelievers go to hell.

I hope there's an afterlife to replace what I experienced in this life but I feel that we simply cease to perceive anything after death.

the thought of this being our only chance at life and some people living in extreme privilege while others know nothing but suffering makes me want to go postal so i try not to dwell on it. at the moment i believe we continue but at least nothingness is better than the hell i was threatened with growing up

i personally don't believe there's anything waiting for us after death. i find some comfort in the thought that we cease to exist as soon as we draw our last breath.

I don't know. In my mind we're like cartoons: we die but the soul remains, and we "live" wandering around.
But, in reality, I think it's not that complex. Death is just something you should embrace. In fact, if you don't think about what happens after that, it's better for your mind and for you to have a peaceful end. There's no purgatory, no hell and heaven, no dark hole that sucks your soul, no punishment for the sinful people. It's better if we think that we just disappear for once when that happens. And if this is what actually happens, then good for us.
