Un-
I'm a failure. An absolute waste. A LOSEr.

I thought I'd help some people if possible, since I struggle to mull over myself. It's just a couple of things I've been thinking about.
Like my idea of life has changed drastically. I'm.. more flabbergasted than before about it.
The obvious things to mention, that most people here probably know, is that life sucks. It does. It's unfair, it's largely dependent on luck, and, for quite a few people, it doesn't end well.
But, regardless of this, I think it's noble to want to continue to exist. Something I would tell someone who's struggling, or suicidal.. non of that "find your purpose", or "live for other people" or whatever shit. I mean it's valid but.. something that I think matters more than that, is simply enjoying life.
I think that's the most vital thing. I think that's a valid, and important reason behind why so many people don't want to die. Having those things - maybe it's music, or Youtube, or social media, or your job, or your friends, or socialising, or animals and shit - if you don't have those things, life won't be worth it. Harsh claim, I know. But what are you going to hold close to your heart when you're feeling depressed again? When you're struggling again?
I mean I see it everywhere. It's for everything. Like how a lot of parents complain about having kids. Yeah, kids are a heavy responsibility. They're tiresome at times, and so many other things.. but parents do (or should) enjoy raising them. And that's why they do it, y'know? If you don't have the things in life that you enjoy.. (I shouldn't say this in the recovery section but) then there really is no point.
I just wish people knew this more. Yeah, for the most part you need money, or things that you need to work for in order to do the things you enjoy. And that's the point of it all. You're not necessarily working all the time for no reason. You're doing it so you can do the things that make you feel alive.
The Pixar movie Soul really explains this beautifully. Your spark or whatever isn't your purpose in life. Matter of fact, it's difficult to say what is. But many of the reasons why people exist today is because they have something they enjoy.
I never thought I'd see the day where I'd post something positive, much less in the recovery section heheh.
