Letting the glowing briquettes build up

I currently have my charcoal grill in the car with glowing briquettes inside it has been in there for at least an hour. im Still unsure if I should go in after it builds up and the briquettes are still glowing or do I (go in right when I put the grill in. Also I'm really scared if I don't do this right will I end up like a human vegetable?

Yes I'm still here I did everything right and then I waited about 45 minutes and got scared that I would pass out instantly. I did it again the next morning i lit the chimney starter in the rain then a bunch of smoke filled the car. I didn't wait long enough and the seat burned a little. My dad saw the smoke and told my mom and my mom told my brother. My brother suggested I was trying to kill myself. I was honestly using it as a heat source too. It makes me angry that I have to worry about an ambulance being called because I chose to kill myself. I'm going to try again soon, I can only hope nobody calls an ambulance.

Trying again soon. Wish me luck that nobody cares about calling an ambulance. I've already had enough evals at the mental hospital i don't want or need to go there.
