Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'd like to ctb in a hotel room, via firearm, so that family doesn't have to see me with my head blown off. I was wondering what the legality of this would be if I got caught - say a metal detector or something weird. I'm just trying to account for everything. I'm in Michigan, if that makes a difference.

Depends on the gun laws of your area. Where I live there's no problem as long as you're licensed. Beware of striking someone else though, as bullets will travel & hotel walls & floors are thin.

I'm in California which is well-known for the most restrictive gun laws. I travel to many hotels for my work, and I've never been to one where there's any kind of metal detector. There is nothing preventing you from going to a motel room with a gun.

I've never in my life seen a hotel with a metal detector, and I stay in various hotels several times a year.

If there's a rule against it, they'll have one of those "Firearm Free Zone" signs on the entrance like at hospitals.

But if you're successful, there won't be any consequences to pay.

Hotel room walls are incredibly thin and it would be best to aim trajectory towards the window.

Thank you for the last part. What about in a bathroom? I was thinking of covering the bathtub in plastic wrap and doing it with a 10mm while laying down on my back.

A motel with a room on the first floor would be ideal. A lot of motels are single stories.

Hotel bathtubs are plastic, they would make clean up easier but not bullet proof. If on bottom floor you can aim down. I researched shooting myself in the head a couple years ago. There's a risk if surviving with a horrific injury, so in my attempt I placed barrel behind ear. Only thing stopped me was an intuitive cat. My brother placed it either under chin or in mouth pointing diagonally up & back. There are many cases where people survive, so make sure this is what you want & know the risk.

Don't. Rounds can travel through walls. You may end up killing or seriously injuring someone else.
