Legal assisted suicide in benelux

So i live in a country where assited suicide is legal (belgium).
I just dont know how i would ask a doctor about this.
Are there any forummembers who know more about this and maybe knew someone from the netherlands belgium or luxemburg who did assited suicide?

Yeah i am in the process here in holland.
Just like here you need to write a will letter wilsverklaring. That ine you need to give to your doctor and your doctor will guide you to the administration.

Was it hard going to a doctor asking for this im a bit of a shy guy and i think they would not think im being serious about it

I did not have any problems.
Was in therapy for many years so i just broke down when i trow the towel in the ring. You can read my tread about my euthanasia process search it by my name


No just write that you do thus out of own will and why you want from what illness.
But shy does not have anything to do with it. This is something they handle with great care.

Just check the application procedure.

Actually even if we have assisted suicide legally here in belgium we still have one of the highest rates of suicide in europe. I think its really hard going public with how you feel because there is still a lot of stigma arround assisted suicide even here in belgium
