What is the best way to leave but also bring closure with family, me and my mother do not get along much anymore. Although I love her, I do not want to leave on bad terms, one concern I have, how would I leave a note and express my feelings without making her feel guilt at all? Been planning this for almost a year to leave in about a few weeks or so. I do not plan on being found, would it be better to leave a note or would it be best to disappear one day without leaving a note and causing more pain. Thank you
Rarely do I read this site, if I am breaking any rules or anything, feel free to erase my post.

If composed in a calm, clearly stated and simple fashion, a note is best. Although it likely won't guarantee closure. Guilt is felt to different degrees by most people whom the (suicidee?) knew.

Well, if you just disappear, they will be searching at least a few weeks. So it is better to leave a note, otherwise depending on the country it can be very expensive and, what is more important, too promising.

You know that is true, something I hadn't considered is the possibility of them sending out resources and such for a vain effort. That is quite selfish really. You're completely right, it would be best to be direct and let them know instead of leaving the possibility of hope. Thank you very much anon.

I have struggled with writing a note myself. I think I have written one at least 3 times.
I did find this from last summer. There are a couple links on it. I have not clicked on them so I don't know if they work.
You can also do a search at the top of the screen. (Pages of results)

My view would be :
If you're trying to make it seem like an accident, then don't leave a note, assuming you have a well thought out method of making it seem like an accident.
But in this case you would still want to make sure that your body is found, so your family are not left wondering if you are still alive, etc....

If you're not trying to make it seem like an accident, then leave a note.
e.g. Explain how it was your choice, and not influenced by anyone else, etc.
