• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Not sure what to do.

Live alone and I would rather family find out as soon as possible I'm gone.

The method is sodium nitrite. I could try and send delayed message to police? But that's maybe risky?

Or I could call or email a charity that was helping me out of office hours. Possibly if i do this on a Sunday am they would get message on Monday am. I'm worried that all messages will be diverted to a pastor that maybe on duty all hours but I'm not sure if that's the case.

What do people think?

That's a great idea to email a charity that is closed. Hmmmmm maybe I'll do that too!

Maybe not though. I know they have a pastor that is possibly "on call" out of hours. If I even manage to leave message, I will be in a state. I don't think I have access to email address.

Could you not send a delayed text message to someone?

If you had a date set could you not arrange for a friend to come around the day after to discuss something?
Leave a note on the door warning not to enter dependant on your method and to call 911?

If you are unsuccessful for any reason wake up remove note no one is any the wiser

Look, you need to think carefully about this. I know how you feel, I live alone and it will only be when I'm not answering my phone/replying to messages that anyone will check. So potentially days/weeks.

What you need to consider is...

  • If someone sees it. You end up being rescued and potentially brain/organ damage and/or in a psych ward.
  • If you fail. As above.
  • If you back out. You can't unsend it and you end up in a psych ward.
I can tell you from experience, having failed a serious attempt, it's not easy.

Exercise caution. And best of luck, if this is what you really want.

I doubt I'll end up in psych ward.

Do you have a plan or just wait until people start to get worried?
