Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

So my cat is the only thing keeping me here. He's been the only constant in my life all throughout my childhood and now he's turning 18. I made a promise to myself that when he goes I go and it's safe to say that's soon. I know he's just an animal but he's my support system as pathetic as that sounds.

That's not stupid. If you look around lots of people here have expressed the same sentiment. My cats are what make me happiest too, though technically they are not mine per second but my family's, which is why I don't feel an obligation to them.
It's understandable wanting to wait until your pet is gone, I think that pets are what is keeping many people here, at least to me animals are better than humans.
Whatever gives someone support isn't stupid. Inanimate things have given me support up until now. (Being creative.) It's whatever gets you through. I understand though- when they're gone- it makes it even harder to keep going.

My beloved girl (cat) of 17 years died 3 years ago. Just like you, as much as I wanted to give up on life, I swore I would never abandon her while she needed my care. Nothing pathetic or stupid about caring for a good companion and friend. Hold onto your furry little fellow for as long as you have him.
