Before the attack I wasn't sure whether all of it only was a bluff. But it turned out to be very real.
We will see how big the collateral damage will be if the Strait of Hormuz is blocked.

Khamenei's body has been found and he is confirmed dead, Israeli official says.
It is probably Trump's biggest gamble in his foreign policies thus far. It could destabilize the region, increase inflation/energy prices, disrupt supply chains.
The pace of his disruptions is insane. Greenland, Iceland, Venezuela, Cuba, Columbia, Iran - massive threats even against allies, toppling regimes while appeasing chosen autocrats.
I wonder how long the operation will take. And whether there is a plan to replace the regime with a different government. The Iranian opposition is weakened but the same can be said about the regime. It is too early in my opinion to conclude what will happen. There are different scenarios possible.

Not sure what to think anymore... Trump seems to think he is dead, but in a search now ... "As of March 1, 2026, reports regarding the status of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei are conflicting. While some sources, including claims by Donald Trump and Israeli officials, suggest he may have been killed in airstrikes, Iranian officials and state media have denied these claims, asserting he is alive".

Edit: been confirmed. What do I think? Trump seems to be on a mission for sure. It feels as though it's the beginning of something big. And it doesn't look good imo.

Can anyone explain me the strategical goal behind Epic Fury except distracting from the Epstein files and a sinking popularity? It looks like a really badly planned adventure in the MIddle East. Bolton, Lindsey Graham and other neocons already have a war boner. The same goes for Netanjahu. But is the average American falling for it? And can you imagine what Trump is planning in order to declare an emergency case for suspending future elections. I think investing in gold was a smart decision thus far...It seems to become a lot worse...we haven't hit rock bottom yet...

Nothing will change in iran.... Simply a new regime with the same ideology as the previous one... It's going to be a freaking mess for years to come. Trump needed a distraction due to falling approval rating, upcoming midterm elections and of course, the Epstein files.

There is the rumor they called the operation "Epic Fury" so that the name replaces the search suggestions when googling "Trump Ep..."
Instead of Trump Epstein the search engine shall show Trump Epic Fury. In Israel they call the operation Roaring lion.

I think this is more of a funny anecdote/speculation. But I wanted to share it.

Some leftwing pundits call it the Epstein war hence.

Is the American (CIA) /Israeli goal to create a failed state in Iran?

It would weaken the axis of resistance in the Middle East massively.
It would neutralize the threat of an atomic bomb (presumably)
Iran is Israels biggest competitior for dominance in the Middle East
Divide et impera as a policy

Obviously all of this could backfire. But I don't feel like Americans or Israelis have learned from pst MIddle East adventures.

One aspect of being older, having been in the business world for almost 50 years is the fact that terminology like, "I am in executive", I am this or that, is the fact that generally said person has no clue about anything and they have to put up this false bravado about themselves.

Like orange face, he constantly has to pump himself up, tell everyone that he is a "stable genius" and the like.

What does that tell a person? That said individual is both dumber than rocks and knows it. So, the person, orange face, puts up all this garbage and repeats it to himself enough so that he believes it, and even if it is like 3am in the morning, orange face will get on social media and blast those that do not conform to his thinking or give him accolades.

In general, one can tell people who have power and are idiots, as they never for one minute stop and think about their legacy ever.

I just wish and hope so darn much that ALL of humanity could give and take and get along and reach for the stars instead of bombing and hurting each other, so negative.

I think the Epstein files is good timing but one administration or another was always going after the regime. The Brits and the CIA overthrew that Iranian Prime Minister back in the 1950's because he nationalised the energy sector. Britian and the US lost all it's lucrative contracts so put in that Pehlavi guy. He danced the West's dance. Since 1979 Iran has gone rogue in the West's eyes....90% of it's crude nowadays goes to China hence them now calling for diplomacy.
