Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The number of times I've been told that is concerning and counterintuitive. These people should actually sit and ponder what they're saying instead of speaking on autopilot.

Yes, most situations change but who the fuck actually promised you that they change for the better? Talking like it's some natural law.

Patience, my ass

Sorry for the wall of text.

I know what you mean but for some people (me for example) patience makes a big difference.

Of course nobody knows if things get better or worse. People who believe that things will guaranteed get better are delusional.

I attempted suicide multiple times when i was a teenager. Now i am in my 40ties and while i still want to die i have inadvertently built a bucket-list of things i want to experience first.

Also i simply cannot die before my mother. She is the best person i have ever known and i can't break her heart so i am forced by myself to be patient.

I don't know how old you are but while the old saying "time heals all wounds" is bullshit while patience is good to have, especially with yourself.

You simply can not know what tomorrow will bring. Maybe you fall in love tomorrow or get that job you always wanted or simple things like you see or read about something you want to experience before you die.

For example i just NEED to visit Japan for example before i kill myself but i am poor so i can't afford a trip but once my mother is dead i can use my inheritance for a one way ticket and spend a few weeks there and then find a nice high building and jump. Maybe i find the love of my life over there and loose the suicidal thoughts altogether. There is no way of knowing that beforehand.

That's my defense for patience.

Thanks for reading my wall of text. ;)

I find it frustrating because it implies stillness. Whereas- I think getting life to change requires anything but stillness a lot of the time. It requires vast amounts of effort in fact. So- it's more like- bust a gut and then try and be patient to see whether your efforts are rewarded. Good things very rarely magically materialise- in my experience anyway.

It's also pretty cruel to someone already in pain to ask them to wait in pain for some unknown cure.

Also- who are they being patient for? Maybe it is for themselves. To let things settle. To mature to be able to cope with life's shit easier. Isn't it also for them though? Because they don't want us to go now.

Basically- stay here suffering, not knowing whether things will in fact improve- for me. And- do it without complaining- preferably. Yeah, it frustrates me too and spoiler alert- it can be said to us even in middle age! 'Things will get better.'
