• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I'm going re edit the post. I feel a little bit calmer now. Police came today at 11pm. They entered the house and asked to see me. They asked me if I bought SN and if the package was at home. They asked me why and when I bought it and some other questions. They then spoke to my brother and parents separately. They said they believed I was in danger and started to look for the package and it was seized. They were here for about 40 min. They asked me if I had any mental health conditions and if I was known to the local mental health treatment team. I said yes and they told me they would have to file a report which will be forwarded to the crisis team. They said all future purchases of SN will be seized at the border. The male police officer told me they got the tip from Interpol. Female police officer took some other details regarding my suicidal ideations and plans. They asked me if I wanted to get admitted into hospital as I clearly had an imminent plan to end my life. I refused. They called EMS. EMS called and said ambulance would take 1 hour. They assessed me over a phone call and I said I didn't need an ambulance. They asked me further questions about Sodium Nitrite and my plans. Now I'm waiting for another call from someone else to asses me for idk what.
All packages I receive to my address have to be reported to the police for the next 6 months.

Goodnight

Further edit
I am mostly upset about them discussing about my CTB plans in front of my parents. I can't look at mum's face anymore. As for people not believing me, it doesn't matter. I'm just reporting to you what happened to me. The officers were kind and offered me help, obviously it wasn't the help I want. I will find another way to leave.

Can I ask which country you are in? I'm really sorry you're going through this.

I know how violating it feels to have your space torn apart like that. Like every last bit of control is gone. It's worse when the one thing keeping you sane—your autonomy—is stripped right along with your privacy. And I know that kind of sectioning feels like you're being punished for trying to end pain, not cause it.

You're not alone in this. Others have been through raids and detainment. You're not cursed or broken or irreparably ruined. You're caught in a system that refuses to accept that suffering can be rational, and still unbearable.

Right now, your priority is surviving the system. That means silence when needed, patience where you can manage it, and documenting everything once you're safe. Don't offer more than they ask. Don't confess out of guilt. Don't assume they know more than they actually do.
They want to make you panic. Don't give them the satisfaction. Lay low. Stay sharp. Get through the storm before you rebuild.

And when you're out—we'll be here. You still have options. You're not done. Not unless you say so.

Where are you from where it's illegal?
Why did they not section you right away? Obviously they thought you were a danger, I haven't heard of anyone getting time before forced/involuntary admission. Not saying you're lying, but if they come to me I'll be happy to tell them to fuck themselves and that I'm trying out meat curing.

I don't believe this personally. Seems a little far fetched, they got a search warrant to take a legal item? Not being disrespectful just my opinion.

Is such an outcome possible in the US? Buying SN is completely legal.

Likely not. Like you said, completely legal… I'm not sure about UK laws but I'm well versed in US/Canada law… they can't get a search warrant for something that isn't illegal. OP also made their account coincidentally when DMC was down… I'm finding it a little hard to believe but if what OP says is true, there'll be hundreds of people getting visits over the next few months.

Edit: After researching UK laws, OP is either full of shit or sung like a canary. Either way, he/she is fear mongering. Interpol also wouldn't be involved. They coordinate, not investigate. Europol would be more believable, but I'm calling BS on this whole story from OP.

The FBI was involved during the IC bust.

It doesn't matter if it's legal, if they think you are at harm they will come for it. Most people will fold and let them in because they are intimidating

I'm from Uk and this would absolutely not happen especially at midnight on a Friday night when our tiny police force is already stretched and on its knees. They cannot just search your house without a warrant and there is no criminal activity here. Complete troll scare mongering people.

My main question in this is how well-equipped London is to deal with mental health patients.

I was at my dinky little Welsh hospital this evening after admitting to buying SN and all I got was "well you can sit in reception over night if you think you're in danger". I guess London would have more funding than Wales (shock horror I know), but I can't see them policing AND sectioning someone in such a short space of time. I mean, it took me close on 7 hours to just see the crisis team today.

It's impressive that in the space of two weeks of your account being made you managed to both find DMC and have him post SN to you, then get to your country to be confiscated lol

If they think you or someone else is in danger they can do whatever they want to protect the safety of someone. If they got a reliable tip that OP was going to use the SN to ctb then they have enough reason to search the house and make sure everyone is safe. If you just buy SN its illegal for the police to search you without any further knowledge. unless your in a country where its illegal. also, OP could have been lurking without making an account and found DMC.

Hmm well that would fit with so many of DMC's packages seemingly going missing lately, but still with your account being so new I don't really know what to believe, sorry.

Anyone know if this is a thing?

True for them possibly lurking and yes if they had PC they likely did get searched, especially if OP told family or friends. But, it was not directly caused by DMC. My guess honestly is OP IS young or even ua and they told the wrong person. Wrong person alerted authorities and OP got a wellness check.

I highly doubt Interpol visited them (even if indirectly), let alone told OP details about the case like what addresses are blacklisted. If it was involuntary admission, op would be in hospital right now (Sec 136 of the Mental Health Act 1983). If it was voluntary, it likely means the police/ems suggested it and OP agreed.

TLDR. Op could be telling the truth about a wellness check, but doubt it's DMCs fault. Correlation≠Causation.

Gonna add, OP is probably not lying. I just had 6 police officers at my door around 1:30 . I'm in the UK and made an order a few months ago through DMC. They did attempt to go through my house but I said no. They asked some questions and said they had intelligence of orders of sodium nitrite, they had my name. There was no mention of sectioning however. They did ask about previous mental health history. What may have threw them off is that I had sodim nitrate which I ended up allowing them to take..

I think he/she means they've had the account since January, even though their member info says March.
Well if that were the case, it would be a lie. I'm highly skeptical of this and the other post. Only two low-post accounts reporting it. Time will tell I guess.

surely, they have better things to do than go after people buying an inorganic salt for totally-not-ctb purposes?

Just a heads up—if the cops show up asking about SN and this is true, this might help. Especially if you get anxious around authority.

1. You don't have to let them in.
No warrant = no entry. Ask: "Do you have a warrant?" If not, "I don't consent to a search." Be polite, but firm.

2. You don't have to say you have it.
You're not legally required to admit anything. You can say, "I don't want to answer that," or "Am I being charged with something?" Totally valid.

3. Don't say it's for suicide.
That can get you sectioned or flagged. If asked, say you got it for:
  • Meat curing
  • Water purification
  • Photography
  • Chemistry experiments
All common, legal uses. You don't need to over explain, just keep it neutral.

4. If they take it, ask for paperwork.
Say, "Can I get documentation for this?" You can follow up with a Subject Access Request or FOIA later.

5. If you seem unstable, they might section you.
If you look distressed or mention suicide, they can detain you. Stay calm. You're allowed to say, "I'm fine, I don't want to talk about my mental health."

SN orders are getting more attention lately, especially if someone nearby used it or your vendor's on a watchlist. Helpful whether this post and the other one is true or not!
