I am planning to kill myself by jumping out of my balcony, I live on the 7th floor and at the bottom there's concrete, If I try hard enough maybe I could manage to hit some stairs, is it a guranteed death or is there still a chance of me surviving and being paralyzed/in coma?

I don't think that's high enough to guarantee success.

I would recommend doing more research and visiting the jumping megathread on SS. If you are serious about this, you don't want to end up a vegetable. Also, I for one have no desire to hurt anyone else when I ctb. I am always surprised when people jump from buildings where someone could be walking by.

For me that would be too low. Myself has no experience in "falling the right way". But even with higher jumps there is a chance (or risk :D) to survive as a potato. I wouldn't risk it.

"The most important factor in suicide by jumping is height. Stone states that jumping from 150 feet (46 metres) or higher on land, and 250 feet (76 metres) or more on water, is 95% to 98% fatal. 150 feet/46 metres, equates to roughly 10 to 15 stories in a building, depending on the height of one story. 250 feet is the height of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco."

The chances of someone being there are pretty low, it's private property and as a kid ive thrown tomatoes and burning toys down there because im autistic so yeah

There's always at least a small chance of survival with many methods, so in some ways this may not be nearly high enough to be worth the risk, but if you were to land in a certain way and if no one was around to attempt to revive you or help you, you may not even need to be that high.. it all depends.

Do you think falling backwards from bridge (over trail not water) will be sufficient to land on your head.... or will you probably just end up sideways? Dumb question I'll admit.... but when you only have one chance all the input is appreciated.

Don't jump. It's not high enough. This is from the website lostallhope.com:

"The most important factor in suicide by jumping is height. Stone2 states that jumping from 150 feet (46 metres) or higher on land, and 250 feet (76 metres) or more on water, is 95% to 98% fatal. 150 feet/46 metres, equates to roughly 10 to 15 stories in a building, depending on the height of one story."

I recommend you read the whole text. Here's a link: http://lostallhope.com/suicide-methods/jumping-high-building

EDIT: I know see that Seneca has posted this info as well. Ok:-)

I just feel if I jump the Gap here in Sydney, the local news may pick it up and fuck it, I don't care because I'm dead, but I wouldn't want that attention for my family even if it was a small blurb someone.

Jumps seem to make the local news more.
