How many ft high do you need to ctb by jumping - I've had this idea for a few days now - seems relatively easy to access a parking garage at night by just walking in

What should the minimum be ? Around 50ft so about 9 stories high

I don't have a car so I'm kinda fucking clueless so if I'm missing something let me know

I can't remember ever seeing any parking places here high enough to give me enough confidence. A lot tend to be in congested city centres too so not great. Beachy Head would be my top location to jump. I jumped on the SN bangwagon now so I haven't really given jumping a second thought for the past few months.

Beachy head is my Ideal option but it's so far for me 5+ hrs commute
150ft onto concrete, 250ft onto water

Oh so not even worth looking at the different parking garage locations I doubt its higher than 50ft on average

Parking garage is likely to not be high enough. Someone jumped near my work place car park but its only 4 stories high, broken bones and lost teeth he ended up in hospital.

Really? when was this? i jumping from 152 feet aka 19 stories high tonight.
According to the other users in the thread they're resources on jumping on sasu (i expect they should be pinned- I've not read through them yet )- you should read through them and make sure to assess all risks before doing anything rash

i have and my method is perfect!
  • Presence in Suicide Deaths: Research indicates that acute alcohol use (drinking shortly before the act) is found in roughly 30-40% of suicide cases.
  • Blood Alcohol Levels (BAC): Studies using data from the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) in the USA have found that 29% to 37% of suicide decedents had positive blood alcohol levels.
  • Intoxication Levels: Among those who die by suicide with alcohol in their system, a significant portion—often 40% to 60%—are intoxicated at the time of death.
  • Increased Risk: Acute alcohol consumption is linked to a 7-fold increase in the risk of a suicide attempt.

You plan to jump intoxicated?

A year ago. I'm crippled. People have survived great falls. Trust me, you don't want to survive that...

If I decide to jump I'm going to with a cliff - beachy head in the UK it's around 500ft at the highest point over jumping off of a bridge it only has 2 cases of people surviving 1 didn't jump another got stuck on a ledge

Jumping is a viable method and having an extreme height is definitely more reassuring

You know people have survived falling from planes right? Life right now as it is, is better than the same life while crippled/paralysed.

thanks for the info but 150 feet aka 19 stories is more than double the 8. How are you now? are you still planning on CTB?
Is there a reason you can't choose another method, so that if it does fail you wouldn't have such catastrophic injuries?

Yeah I'm worse off physically and mentally. I am planning to ctb.

I simply feel like this has the highest success rate. According to multiple sources it's 95-98% chance you die on impact without pain.

SN is risky because you have to order it and you can get caught and plus who knows whether there truly is pain or not.

I used to play soccer and this guy got a dirty concussion right in front of me. He wasn't unconscious but the next week when I asked him about it, he said he felt and remembers nothing. Therefore, I feel like even if I don't die on impact, I won't feel pain.

I didn't feel any pain upon impact, I was concussed, went unconscious immediately.

However, the pain of the injuries, possibility of losing limbs, loss of quality of life, declining physical and mental health, damaged organs, months in hospital and rehab, infections, visible trauma, everyone asking you what happened to you, judgement, shame, PTSD, flashbacks, nightmares, fears of buildings, 11 surgeries and still counting... it is just NOT worth it trust me!

ANY other method would be better.

I don't really have access to other methods like that. I believe what you're telling me and I appreciate it.

I have to take the risk, I just have to. What else am I gonna do? 150 feet is a lot to land on the patch of grass down there. I must.

If you land on grass, even more the chance of survival... regarding what else are you going to do. I think chosing life would be better.

I recently moved to a flat, 12 stories high.
Last week a guy jumped, he was still alive, people seeing it happen tried to save him.
Died on the way to the hospital though

Doesn't sound very peaceful to me

It's a mixture of grass rocks and sidewalk. I am more scared of the afterlife tbh. I go knows what happens out there.

I imagine it to be like under anesthesia. I don't think you're conscious of it... I believe in reincarnation. That's what scares me. Being reincarnated into a worse life. What if there is a God and they see suicide as a sin? We try to escape a shitty life, only to get given an even shittier life...

But we have proven that we are nothing but a product of genes and circumstances. This is why i believe in simulation theory and "I" could be the only real being living in a simulation of NPCs etc.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you find the courage to jump from 9 stories. I have tried to jump mulitple times and backed out. This time i am resorting to mass alcohol to help me jump.

Lol NPCs. I slept 1 hour of broken sleep a night for 3 months. I had trialled 7 different sleep meds to no avail. Then was put on an antidepressant that gave me akathisia. I couldn't stop pacing, hand wringing, adrenaline and felt like I needed to jump out of my own skin. I cried out for help to two doctors and my psychologist saying I was having scary suicidal thoughts I had never expereinced before. They dismissed me and said to give it time the antidepressant gets worse before it gets better. Few days later my doctor calls me to ask if I was better/sleeping - I said no. She told me to go to hospital - I asked if they would prescribe anything else than the 8 meds I'd already tried for sleep. She said I'd run out of treatment options. In that state I just looked at my family and thought I was an unfixable burden on them. I booked the tallest hotel along the coast. I chugged some pills down with vodka. I knew I'd black out from the pills pretty soon, so only had a few minutes to act quick. And jumped. My SI kicked in and grabbed the balcony below tried to pull myself up but because I was going in and out of consciousness from the pills I slipped and fell. So technically fell 7 floors and holding that balcony made me fall like a pencil. I'd imagine if you fell head first it would be goodnight. However, this wasn't anything I sat on nor did I do any research. I was desperate, my brain was on fire, I should've been put in a psych ward.

You sent me a private chat but for some reason I can't see it. If you hit 'start conversation' as opposed to 'start chat' it will work 🙂

So are you 100% sure you fell feet first? I really appreciate your perspective because you really did jump.

Also, what pills did you take with the vodka?

I saw your other thread as well and I hope you find peace one day soon.
