There was a body in the river today being taken out by the river police. It could be me!!!!!!!

I know jumping off a bridge is painful, but maybe drowning is relatively quick. I keep just wanting to jump in - I am near the river.

I'm trying to hold back still so I don't upset people, but have had enough.

Thoughts on dying in the river? Drowning? Any failed attempt stories to share? Any drugs I could take to make it painfree?

I tried once to drown in the ocean...but could not do it. I think it would be very very painful and distressing. I know they say after a few minutes its peaceful but I think those few minutes would seem to last forever!

I've considered one that's 876ft high.

you dead.its 250 m.:heh:

just from the shock of water it can be fatal.
thats the height one of the tallest building in here

do some google:

There are two things that might kill on impact: high local pressure on the surface of the body - this can cause lacerations, bleeding, fractures; and a deceleration of the body that causes internal organs (the brain or the kidneys) to rip loose, resulting in severe internal bleeding and death.
btw !

how you find such tall bridge? you sure with its height?

It would be a London river bridge...

I found one story of someone who jumped and survived (that one from Tower Bridge)

But then historically, lots of success stories: http://www.skydive.ru/en/londons-bridges/353-waterloo-suicides.html

And more historical success stories here: http://deathonmydoorstep.com/index.php/2018/03/04/london-bridges/

This story - she drowned. It's a sad story: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/girl-16-jumped-waterloo-bridge-14036340
Also this - shows lots of people must be successful: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/lon...ge-to-intercept-suicide-jumpers-a3289006.html
