if you jump, you never know who you might accidentally hit.
there will also be a lot of witnesses, similar to the train track method.
depends where you do it tho.
if you hypothetically go on the train tracks in some secluded area, very few would see you.

OD'ing in hotel rooms... that's also extremely traumatizing to the maid.
and she's the one who actually has to go deal with the dead body, to check that the person is indeed dead (and not just drunk or something).

passengers on a train don't really see anything when the train is passing by.
imagine if there was a raccoon on the train tracks.
those can be about the size of a human head.

they would barely notice anything probably.
yes the driver of the trainer would, which sucks, but then (hypothetically) put a bag over your own head to make it less graphic.

The thing with a train is that you are drafting strangers to become your killer. It's not just traumatizing a witness, you are making someone else kill you just because they had a job that was useful to you.

The issue with bystanders isn't just about them witnessing it. Causing a train accident can hurt people physically, even killing them in very foreseeable scenarios. Jumping isn't risk free, absolutely, but it's still considerably less troubling than putting yourself in front of a train. Any method that requires uninvolved people to kill you is morally fraught, but the same goes for anything which endangers uninvolved people. CTB by train does both.
