i truly dont know much about jumping or really any suicide method for that matter, which is why i've come here…

to be honest, jumping has always been kind of a fantasy of mine. getting to free fall and end with long awaited peace sounds so nice

i'm assuming that falling from a sufficient height would just be instant death, implying that it's painless? please somebody correct me if i am wrong about that.

i've seen resources about how high to jump from and or where to jump from, and i'm beginning to make a plan now.

can someone let me know if jumping is a reliable method? it's the most accessible to me and seems like an easy way out.

as you yourself said, it all depends on the height you wish to jump from but also on, sadly, everything else. I personally also had a lot of fantasies about it, but came to the conclusion that it's not worth the risk. but coming back - yes, jumping from a certain height most often ends in instant death, but there is also a percentage chance that you will survive and end up with a serious injury, as nothing can be predicted. there are people who survived falling out of a plane, and there are people who died falling from the second floor. if you have to jump, please just choose the highest building possible and make sure you don't fall on anyone below as I can only wish you the best of luck and a quick death:]

I'm considering jumping as well and have done a lot of research. Do you mind sharing some of what you learned?

You need a 100 foot jump if you are landing on concrete, 250(the exact height of the golden gate bridge) for landing on water.

These are generally considered to be 95% death provided you don't land on your feet, these can be hard to find though, here is an article with some good info on the average hights.

There is also a general rule that 10 story's is the way to go, the place I have is six stories high, but after taking measurements I am confident it will get the job done.

Jumping from at least 10 stories high is pretty reliable and death is almost guaranteed. Jumping is also one of the most available methods. I heard it is not painless though, no other methods are truly painless except for firearms. I'd say the hard part would be if you'll have the guts to do it

Mais rien ne garantit que vous atterrirez sur la tête. Si c'était le cas, j'aurais déjà sauté.
Over 46 m on hars
Even without landing on your head, you must not be slowed down during the fall or land on a car.

Firearms are only going to be painless if death is instant, which isn't always the case.

98% of jumpers don't survive jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. 40 people have survived it though so far.

The most potentially painful/disfiguring methods of suicide, jumping from a height
Jumping has a case fatality rate of about 46.7% (lower than firearms or hanging), implying a significant proportion survive with injuries, which medical literature (cross-referenced) associates with high pain levels.

😰😰😰😰😰
After that, it depends on how high you jump from, where you land, and if you're slowed down... it's true that in the statistics there are people who have jumped from 5 stories

The people in the one study about injuries didn't jump from near high enough. The highest was 5 stories and one only jumped from 5 meters.
