Jersey approves assisted dying for the terminally ill. It was rejected for the irredeemably suffering not terminally ill though. Still, I believe the law is a step is in the right direction.

There's steps to these things. This is the first step that Canada took. Its only been since the 1990s; I think skipping steps isn't here yet

Yes I did read that starmer would bring this debate to the commons. I dont know where the tories stand on this issue.
Imo assisted suicide should be available worldwide. Maybe we'll get there some day

Totally agree. Once countries adopt euthanasia and realise the counter arguments - that the disabled will feel bullied into it - are bollocks, then they expand the criteria. Steps as you say.

The above just blows my mind! How on earth can the majority vote against this. So they are basically saying we vote for those with unbearable suffering with incurable medical conditions to continue suffering for the rest of their lives! What the fuck, how is that humane. Blows my mind.

Crazy isn't it? Still, Jersey has made progress in the right direction, we at sanctioned-suicide should welcome every move towards euthanasia.
