Might not be the best place to post this but I've completely fucked myself career wise.

I went to a trade school for a physical profession then went to a similar profession in college. Now there are 3 more years to go until I get my bachelors. I didn't consider my health I hoped I could just tough it out but I really cannot. My back is fucked by severe kyphosis. I hadn't been to an orthopedist for a long time so I don't know exactly how severe but probably 3-4 stage. 6 years ago it was 2-3 stage so by now it has probably worsened as it usually does with this condition. I'm in pain from physical work standing for 13 hours a day

The most retarded thing I did is I applied for the same profession in uni as well (or, rather, administrative profession in the same industry) because I still had my retarded tough it out mindset. Now I can't really change the specialty at the uni without switching to paid edu (we have free or paid edu depending on your exam results). Thing is my exam results were actually enough to apply to any specialty at the university for free, be it programming or economics, management, anything

So I'm at a loss at what to do now. I need to find a non-physical job or else I'm fucked. I'm going to destroy my body otherwise. I'm worthless to employers though, at 20 (turning 21 next month) I don't have much skills besides english (I'm in a non-english speaking country) and I don't have a bachelors yet. Trade school education - near worthless

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't come up with any advice because I myself have destroyed my career prospect due to mental health issues and now have a dead-end job which gives me a minimum wage.

My mother tongue isn't English, too. So I'm no wordsmith but I want you to know there are people who care about you and listen to you...

Do you have any interest other than trading?

Cant you leave your specialty and choose different one which will be much more suitable? And i meain for free, not paid ot it doesnt work second time like this?
If not, cant you go to someone in the uni (authority) and tell your situation, show them on paper that you are ill and that you cant afford paid edu, tell them that you made a mistake choosing this specialty? What if someone there will understand your situation and help you?

Also you dont need to study programming at uni to become a programmer, you could learn it on YT or on the internet for free. There is a lot of free stuff about it out there or maybe you could pay for some courses which will teach you, BUT if you choose courses, my advice is: really check very well what you are paying for, if its sensible for the price and not some cheap scam.

-There are more none physical work then ever! Don't break your back even more!
-Go to the Doctor to check your situation, knowing is always better, get to medical gymnastics!
- Right simply speaking with 2 languages you can find a job many places, and as a uni student you probably have the opportunities!

As you will be 21 soon, you cannot be fucked carrier wise because you are super young!

I'm 30 and switching occupation bigtime starting from 0 (with only high school education) and still don't think that's end of the world, sure it's bad, but if something is bad for you don't force it!

Good luck!

Digital music production and amateur audio engineering. I've been doing it as a hobby for years. There does exist such a profession as an audio engineer but there is little demand for it where I live, and in demand of course are the professionals, not hobbyists.
I myself have destroyed my career prospect due to mental health issues
Sorry to hear that... poor mental health is likely an even bigger issue for career than physical health.

There is no vacant places. That's why there's no opportunity to change the specialty for free

I don't really qualify for disability, sadly.

I don't want to sound overly bold but how do you really know? The competition is fierce right now, and it makes sense. Junior devs with 0 experience get paid more than qualified experienced specialists of most other fields...

Thank you for sharing. Becoming a digital music producer or an audio engineer seems to be difficult because of competition...

In my case, I studied electronic engineering and computer science for 10 years and I finally found my way to use my computer skills in an unconventional way. Currently I'm working for a tiny construction firm as an office clerk. The company doesn't have a budget for software which streamlines tasks so I'm writing a small program to do so.

I'm terribly slow and erratic (I have mild ADHD) so I develop the software for free in order to show my boss my worth, to avoid getting fired from my minimum wage job.

I hope you find a way to show your skills in audio engineering in some way. Sorry, your case seems to be harder than mine, but because you're smart, I believe you will find your way.

Now you have more possible solutions which you should investigate, maybe you are right maybe you are wrong, why not to check all of this stuff which i and everyone else wrote here?
You should start looking at all of this and deciding which way is the best for you and i really hope you find it.
And if you choose your way maybe you wont succeed at it at once, maybe it will take some time but if you are persistent at it and you will love what you do i am sure that one day you will succeed in it.

Much love and good luck in your journey:heart:
