I believe it's wrong to bring more life into this world because no one can suffer if they didn't exist.

What are your thoughts on this?

Suffering is inevitable. In some way, shape, or form everyone suffers. Even the most beautiful and richest people in the world suffer from something.

I understand as more than anything I wish I was never forced into this existence, I just find it so terrible and torturous to exist and to me existence truly does feel like nothing but suffering, I actually see existence as the most horrific and terrible tragedy, it's something that just causes endless amounts of cruelty and suffering, torturing existing beings so much as a result and I see it as all so unnecessary as well.

I see it as a burden to suffer in this existence, to me existence will always be the most cruel and futile imposition, I personally truly have only ever wished for death, to exist at all will always be deeply undesirable to me and it terrifies me how a human can exist for so long with no limit as to how much agony they can feel. I only hope and wish for the absence of all suffering, I only wish to never exist again, only in non-existence will I be unable to suffer which is why it's all I hope for.

I sort of think this way. I think it's wrong to bring life into this world if one is not prepared to take care of and nurture that new life. I think it's wrong to understand what this world is and insist on bringing that new life into being. I think it's wrong to pass down inherent struggles onto another generation. I believe that if the parents aren't financially, psychologically, and emotionally prepared to welcome that new life into the world, then they shouldn't be able to bring it into being. Life is going to require some suffering. However, to pass on suffering to a child because those parents haven't prepared themselves to be parents, and they're not part of a functional culture is a sin.

Yes, I'm starting to become an antinatalist. I have good parents and still ended up with biological depression and a stroke from an assault. No matter how well you raise a kid they can still suffer a lot in life

I've said in other posts if reincarnation was true I would like to re-do this life but with a different brain. Like somebody said suffering is inevitable but irl I see others where the good times outweigh the bad and life is mainly enjoyable and it's just a shame it couldn't be like that for me or lots of other people on this site

By the same logic, nobody can experience pleasure if they're not born.

I don't think life inherently has negative value for the experiencer. In fact, it seems most people ascribe a positive value to their lives. I also think most people make positive contributions to the world.

As much as I personally dislike my own life, I don't think it's wrong that other people exist.

I fully agree with you. When somebody is alive, they're in harm's way. When somebody is not alive, they're out of harm's way. Life is full of problems and the absence of life is an absence of problems. It's that simple. There is no rational reason to bring somebody into existence and I consider the act of procreation to be immoral

Yes, and their time of glory ends with death too (most death of old age is long and painful too).

Certain. Life is suffering as Earth's biology is made. Another world might present better biology, perhaps one that chooses repair over reproduction. However, we inhabitants of planet earth have experienced a terrible failure of biology and therefore it is better to completely eliminate it without delay.

Extreme Pain is much worse than people know

I wish i were never born.

Life is not worth the 15 hours per day working a job , chores , suffering , trying to solve problems , cleaning every damn thing, having to eat 3 time a day, groceries , to do lists .... every damn day ... then get up shower brush teeth and do it again and again every day again for 90 years. .

work all day a job ,to do lists, chores for 15 hours per day every day for 90 years for what reason? there is no objective reason

Life is not worth doing all that and risking the many horrible things diseases, old age, oppression, injustice , grief, depression, disabling accidents, stroke, cancer, extreme suffering, heartbreak , unbearable pain, kidnapping torture, , tape worm infection, tick bytes, lyme, scams, lies, heartbreak and 1000 more .

Life is not worth the unbearable pain possible ..

always hungry having to work , suffer, every every for 90 years all the time risking extreme torture all for no objective reason.

life is just cells , a machine , piece of chemistry . there is no purpose.

no one can convince me there is an objective reason why i or any human has to live even another minute or to want to live or do anything . there is no objective reasons. life is meaningless suffering. life is an evil imposition prison torture slavery

but these and many more reasons why life is horrible are summed up on top of each other to make life a nightmare

the pleasurable addictions are the most evil because it's these that keep one here to fall for the worst torture and the worst pain imaginable . a fucking sandwhich or a fucking youtube video are not worth anything much less going through extreme torture or even all this suffering and slavery. these addictions are just bait

I'm seeing lots of anti-natalism posts in SS today and loving it. People that fuck irressponsibly and have useless children need to be called out.

Being brought into existence without knowing if life has a deeper purpose, or if we're here only to ultimately face death, is a major source of existential anxiety. This question leads many people to wonder if the hardships of life are justified or if life is merely a temporary arrangement leading to an inevitable end, with no meaning beyond the experience itself.

this lack of clarity is reason enough to abstain from creating new life, seeing it as avoiding the potential distress of another being trying to understand existence while navigating the certainty of pain and loss.

In my view, anti-natalism is not really a good thing, because some people may be able to find genuine happiness and fulfillment in life, despite the inevitable suffering. Most people may eventually feel self-actualized and fulfilled. Most. Just not me, apparently.

There's no other reason for bringing life other than for your pleasure. Your child will suffer, and you choose to ignore that. It's so selfish.
