Its like a veil had been lifted after childhood

It was as if a veil had been lifted after childhood. And I know some were the opposite. But this happy curiousity had left when things were fresh and humans were kind to me just because I was young. The "innocent" animal like the treatment a puppy or kitten would recieve the young, the cute. The animals treated with kindness until the veil was pulled no ripped off my head where it left my eyes in a vulnerable open space, and that light shined right through in from the pupils till it hit the brain. And they say to grow up, but why does it seem like it has gotten filthier? disgusting creatures is all I got from it, So why should I hide it?

I feel the same way, like a curtain has been opened. I miss early-childhood when I thought the world was a peaceful utopia, and when I was blissfully unaware of all the suffering and hardship rampant in the world.
