Discussion It's ironic how world suicide prevention day is right before 9/11

Now some will say it's just a silly coincidence and nothing more but why of all things did they pick September 10th (2 years AFTER the 9/11 attacks) for World Suicide Prevention Day? Was it planned? The biggest murder-suicide in human history.

I noticed that and maybe it had something to do with wanting an easy to remember date, 11 days into September, then subtract one day, thus making it the 10th day. But I don't know...

I never even knew there was such a day..What are you supposed to do on that day? Look for someone who looks depressed or downtrodden and give them a pep talk? Or maybe hogtie them and lock them in a closet for the day or until they at least swear they aren't going to harm themselves?

There's an entire world outside of the US; this choice of date relative to 9/11 seems to be a deliberate attempt to remind people of this.
