Hi everyone,

I was thinking of deleting some of my personal data out of my devices. I don't want to reset totally, but just selectively cancel some of my data. I use iPhone/Mac/iPad.

Do you have any advice?

There is no way that I know to erase selective data without you personally going through all the data yourself.

You will have to erase all data from all accounts currently logged in on your phone or simply factory reset when you don't want the data anymore. You can use some apps that erase data that you are not currently using but those apps usually delete important files if you don't filter then carefully.

I would say for you to use some of you time to manually backup your important files to a cloud service, when you factory reset your phone, only you will know the account and the password, just make sure to do not forget the password in case you need it.

EDIT: Do use the Factory Reset function on your phone, because at least for Android, there are some apps that do not erase files after you delete the app, even if you manually wipe the storage.

I'd recommend factory defaulting your devices if you have a concern about data. That being said if someone's determined enough (law enforcement determined), sometimes even that doesn't help
