Hi everyone sorry to be posting so much I am just in a fog and I really need to try to take care of all of this as soon as possible ... becoming very apparent to me that I will not be successful in life as I can barely manage a plan to kill myself
Anyway, once my death has been ruled as a suicide, what is likely to happen? I have been supported by various doctors throughout the past couple of years so it's not exactly going to be a mystery. I'm just wondering if people are going to start looking through my personal stuff / internet history / contacting people i know in real life etc to try to find reasons for what prompted this ... or am i worrying too much ... I know it doesn't matter once I'm dead and I have nothing significant to hide but i also don't want people to be snooping around

Maybe they will, at least the cops will just to set a motive. You won't know if they do, but if it's to keep some piece of mind, you can always delete or throw away what you don't want to be found. Sure, anything can be recovered if one digs enough, but most people won't in a case like that.

After my death I really don't care what happens. If a necrophiliac wants to play with my body, thats ok, I'll be dead anyway.

I sometimes also fear what will happen once I die. I try telling myself I'll be like a chunk of rock so it shouldn't matter. But... I have a few professional social media sites I plan to shut down incrementally. I don't have any personal social media sites. There are programs and apps that let you send out materials (electronically) on a delayed schedule. I plan to make copies of all the data my work will need (off my computers) and sterilize my hard drives otherwise. Once you're sure what you want to do, you can plan what to destroy (files...), what to copy and share (stuff you think others need/want), and what you can give away once you've wiped the hard memory (older electronics that won't sell online...).

I getcha. Another thing to worry about, huh?

Always wondered like in the case of suicide/death what gives news outlets the right to report on you and expose info/photos of you

I don't understand this, either. Some seem to be covered really publicly, then others don't get a mention at all.

I'm not too sure these days, but back in the day in my country (UK) dead people were not protected by data protection laws.
Other thing is (and this is going to sound very harsh) outside of immediate family and maybe law enforcement/ coroner, if you're just a regular Joe, I can't imagine too many people are going to be that interested.
Anyone who wants to snoop through my shit after I'm gone, I view with the same contempt I would view them with now.
Good luck friend
