Depends on how thick it is which is hard to tell from pictures, but it looks like the ones we have at home and those are firm as hell, literally undestructable. I think they are not made out of cotton but out of plant fibres though. I'm no expert but I guess your rope might do the trick.

or you can do what i did and attach something heavy to it and pick it up, see if it breaks
