Is there a stabbing yourself megathread? Can we get one? What kind of knife/machete should be used? Are there any swords available that can do the trick? How do you die by stabbing?

I don't believe so, but SI would kick in and it would be too painful to go through with. I don't think it's a viable method, unless you are extremely desperate.

It's also incredibly difficult to pierce the right organs because your ribcage is designed to protect them from harm.

I don't think so. It's not a very popular method and can really mess up if you hit the wrong places.

It is so hard to cut yourself as way of ctb. And if you manage to get thru the pain and cut an artery, youd have to suffer watching blood spurt out everywhere. Check the success rate, it is low

I think you would need to purposefully fall on a sword. And it would not be quick. Unless you got lucky and angled it right so it went under your rib cage and got your heart.

I support this idea; whether or not it is a good method is something that can be discussed. People do die from stab wounds. If somehow SI can be ignored and a nice deep stab is done, I am certain one will bleed to death.

I've watched some gore videos where people got stabbed and it looked slow and painful. I think even if you cleanly sliced the heart that would hurt like a motherfucker before you died. If someone is hot for blades I would look into a way to decapitate yourself. It's hard but obviously basically painless if done right.

The Japanese use to practice seppuku. It was a method of suicide by self stabbing in the gut and neck. Hundreds did it and succeed. Miss me with the you won't die bullshit. Is it painful, probably, but all these post about it not working, si piss me off.

i tried to stab myself in the gut as an attempt back in june, but failed miserably because SI kicked in really bad. i tried to run towards a wall so the knife would go in with ease, but again, SI's a bitch and i'd stop before i'd even hit the wall. hell, i even thought about hiring a hitman towards myself.

back to your question, i don't think that there would be one. if there were, it would be in a thread called "bad ways to go" or something similar. it's a painful method and most people would go for something peaceful.
