Discussion Is suicide a shortcut?

Well is it? Logically it is. Our ego tells us to keep going. Life is really a zero sum game. We grow older each and every day..slowly inching towards our inevitable death. We might have things in our lives that briefly distract us from our mortality or all the suffering that takes place in this world. Aren't we all just hamsters running in a wheel? Even the best looking will grow old and frail. Even the richest will lose everything when they leave this place. Suicide is a taboo. Maybe because they don't want us to free ourselves from this waste of time known as life. I hope some rational country makes euthanasia legal for any adult who would choose it. What are your thoughts? Is suicide the ultimate shortcut?
