I never could fap to this. Actually, as I watched more porn I became more feminine in my tastes (pornographers say softcore is more consumed by women): I started looking at people kissing and such. People say porn normally does the opposite to you, supposedly makes you seek "more extreme" material over time. This is another area in which I am weird.

Well, I'm even weirder. I have hypersexual disorder, & I can fap for hours to a photo or a gif of 2 hot guys kissing. :ahhha:

I honestly don't know what pornography is. I used to think it was just pictures of people with no clothes on and grew up feeling guilty about looking at any pictures of naked women. I can't see any harm in looking at a picture of a naked woman lying on the beach or whatever. I don't even know what the difference is between that and pornography.

Are you Amish, and somehow were told how to turn on a computer and post on a forum?

I would much rather see videos of what I stated previously in my "Dr. Ruth" thread. At least people would learn something useful.
I know eh? This is the recovery section, and this thread is taking attention from genuine threads. It's you r life watch all you want bubbles members also read other content or take this to the offtopic, just my opinion. Just my humble opinion.

I think masturbation is harmless and don't mean to be a nofap type person who thinks it gives super powers.

Some anecdotes of mine:
But I think porn can lead to issues such as giving people unrealistic expectations for what an adult's body should look like, male or female.

I remember watching a video of a nofap guy and one thing he mentioned was being unable to maintain an erection or reach orgasm once he had a girlfriend, and how part of it was he couldn't feel arousal anymore without certain types of content. I used to post on a forum where some male members talked about giving up porn, and how after a few weeks of abstaining they felt arousal at more normal things like thighs.

Another time I saw a woman's ass get posted on a forum, some members called it "gross" because it was normal looking. She was a normal weight and everything, it just wasn't a hyper attractive BBL gym butt. A lot of photos edit out small bits of cellulite that 90%+ of women develop regardless of weight, blemishes around the genitalia get covered up in porn by putting makeup over it, etc.

I don't know how harmful to say this is but it would be sad to have your expectations of sex and people's bodies ruined by how they're portrayed in fiction.

If you can't get aroused by your SO that will definitely hurt your relationship

Hmm is kinda offtopic-y but I put here because not watching porn regularly might help some people improve their mental well-being. So my question was regarding how pornography would impact recovery, if at all.

I think it is very bad that certain countries haven't cracked down on the amount of violent porn produced in there country.

Also then make massive cases out of certain high profile people. its a total double standard to legally sell rape porn then attack these people its like the Russian attack on the out of favour oligarchs.

They also don't take any responsibility for effect such violent porn might have on cultures in otherr countries. It really is capitalism at its very worst.

The more you watch the stronger you need more extreme and its not healthy.
