I've been really struggling with my recent diagnosis with being bipolar. I absolutely inherited it from my mom, and I've been trying to learn about it to cope with it better?

But growing up, seeing how her life kept getting ruined by this illness. Hearing the stories she's told me now. Reading about it. Learning about it just makes it feel kind of pointless to keep fighting. I really don't know.

Life CAN be worth the fight. The trick is to just ignore anything negative and push yourself through goals or whatever makes you happy. Always reach out and ask for help with those goals. Ask for opinions and ask for moral support and back up. Basically ignore your depression and in a way it will go away. Don't do anything negative or things that seem negative to you. I have been in a good life many many times. Yes bad things will happen. Just take care of them in a responsible way and keep going. I hope that helps. Try "Life Mastery Stuff" in your own way. Eat healthy. Reach for a job that makes you happy. Stretch. Work out a little. Don't smoke or drink. This might help you to keep going if you decided that you will ditch all the negative things. "Nobody Cares" is a double edge sword. You can use it to your advantage to overcome anything and be positive. Go out there and be you and dont let things get in the way. Excercise helps with your confidence. Or you can find a confidence course in your town or online maybe. I hope this helps. Remember there is nothing wrong with you. It doesnt matter if your depressed or not! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE WAY YOU FEEL! You are good and you are loved and special. Dont forget that. Dont beat yourself up. ❤

Hey, I suffer from bipolar disorder too and sometimes life is hell and some others paradise.
I wanted to ctb last year and last Jan, 21st but now I'm trying to live.
However, today I had a terrible day.

I don't know if life is worth living yet but I'm trying to figure it out.

I know how hellish your days can be.

Wish you the best and hope you can feel better soon.

There's no objective answer. But in my OPINION? No it's not.

If you are at the bottom of a pit and look up, what do you see? You can never decide if it is worth it out there when making the decision from that perspective. And thank God for your Mom, you can learn from her and NOT fall into the same pits.

"Life" doesn't exist. You can never life a life that isn't yours. It doesn't matter if "life" CAN be good,
amazing, fulfilling. What matters is what YOUR life is now and what it can be. You are the only judge of that. You can only decide if YOUR life is worth living.

The answer is different for everyone. I don't think it's fair to state that life objectively not worth living just because we're all going to die anyway. Life is like a carnival. Do you leave the carnival prematurely because you're going to inevitably leave? No, you enjoy it while it lasts and make the most out of it; you embrace its transient nature. A problem arises, however, if the carnival actively makes you miserable, in that case, I think it's rational to leave the carnival early. The only person who can answer this question is yourself; some people find joy in the carnival, while others hate it. Have you explored all your options? Can you see yourself being happy in the future? If yes do you believe that that happiness is worth tolerating an undefined time of suffering for? If you honestly believe that you can't be happy, then I would say life wouldn't be worth fighting for. When we fight we suffer for the sake of a better future, however, if you only see suffering in your future, then you're essentially suffering for the point of suffering. In that case, life would not be worth fighting for. I hope this post helped a bit and I'm sorry for what you're going through.
