Is it really so unreliable to shoot yourself in the chest with a crossbow and a hunting arrow?

I have no knowledge about crossbows, but if you really need to use one, you would probably have better luck shooting yourself through the throat and then pulling the arrow out. It sounds really awful, though, but I'm not sure that the crossbow has enough power to penetrate your ribs.
Dude there are always ways to do something. Research is our friend, and science is benefice. The scenario you give sounds risky and PAINFUL. As always I must respect others and their wishes. Love and peace to you.
My friend I'm sorry that you're suffering and so much I do not recommend shooting yourself in the chest with a crossbow. If that's a jar of SN personally that's probably the way that I would do this.

I'm not very knowledgeable about crossbows but how would you even physically do that? My husband has one for hunting and that seems like it would be physically hard to do.
