havent met . i see most ppl are lonely and have no one who understands them. if 2 ppl are suicidal , there are good chances they understand each other well.

In reality, as a woman, even if it was possible to met someone, I would be very afraid. I read some stories about woman whom met some guy on internet to help with CTB or just keep company and were abused. By the way, I saw a rumor that after Marilyn Monroe died, her body disappear for 6 hours, which may not be true, but made me think thay people are creepy af and this is something way more common than you might think. So, I tend to not find this a good idea at all.

I guess, it all depends on the people. Every suicidal person I've been with which most of my exes turned out to be, said they weren't suicidal anymore in the beginning of our relationship, then they started using their suicidal ideations as a weapon to make me stay and threaten me that they'd kill themselves if I left, and to gaslight me and to excuse their abuse and cheating towards me. I aim to stay away from suicidal people when it comes to relationships from now on.

Yes, finding someone that understands your pain and will listen to you is probably a very good thing for you mental health. Regardless of if that second person is a love interest or not.

But I don't think such a person has to be suicidal as well to understand. In fact, it sounds more like extra restrictions to impose on a possible friend or partner.

Is it possible that a suicidal person will find their soulmate beacuse they bond over both being suicidal? Yes.
Is it likely? No, it's probably more likely that there is a person out there who brings the person joy but is not suicidal. Even if they are, it is even less likely that the two people wil be suicidal for the same reason.

Having said that, we usually fall in love with poeple that we spend time with, so if two people happen to stay for long in a psych ward together, or spend many hours talking with each other on this forum, the chance of them falling in love is probably not that small. In that way, suicide could be said to be the reason they met.

Attempted to have a relastionship with a suicidal female and things went bad fast. First few weeks were fine but then the manipulation of it all starting using suicide as away to get what they wanted. Since both are suicidal I think it is way to easy for people to blackmail the other with death. So I would recommend not doing it.

I very much doubt it, and anyway from what I'm aware relationships just cause people to suffer even more. It's better to stay away from other people, you cannot trust them.

Yes. Personal example would be me and my boyfriend. Or my one irl friend that I have and his girlfriend, or another case with the same thing regarding someone I know from university.
If anything this is probably a quite common cause for recovery.

?? Humans are fundamentally highly social creatures. To stay away from others is one of the primary causes for people to depressed.
To feel isolated is part of the issue. To then isolate yourself even further is just making it worse.

I think it depends on the reasons for seeking suicide. Keep in mind, relationships do fade after time. One may be more invested than the other person in the relationship.

did I say >I'm so happy lalalala ? No. Things are nuanced. I'm still passively suicidal over other issues that have nothing to do with my relationship. If anything my relationship has improved everything immensely, yet still doesn't solve issues that are unrelated. Just helps with general mental state.

Strawman. I never said or implied this. Things aren't black and white. Social relationships are highly complicated and romantic relationships as a subset even more so.
You cannot possibly expect things to just simply always be good or always be bad.
To base your beliefs around a sample size of n=1 is simply not logical.

i think it depends on the persons, im not sure if my partner is but i know they are aware of my feelings and thoughts regarding ctb and methods
i think it's possible to find someone special enough to make you want to drop it but for me, single or not, it's still in my plans to do so when i feel i am ready

It sounds like romantic story. I wonder how often it happens. It is easier to find a lover on a site like this than at those times bevore the internet. Imagine you enter a suicide forest like for example Aokigahara. How likely is it that you meet another person who is going to commit suicide like you? And how high is the probability that you meet a person that is not terminal ill, of the right sex and lovable? By the way, 75% of the suicides are male but only about 5 % of the males are gay.

There are so many variables to a healthy relationship that there's no definitive answer. Is it possible? Sure, what the probability is that it'll work is beyond me but I have my doubts it's good. I'm in the boat of if you're not happy with yourself, being dependent on someone for your happiness will probably end negatively. Love is an addition not a solution sort of thing. Not to say this is definitive and works for everyone but just seems logical to me.

I'm sure it's possible. I guess the 'ideal' in a way would be that you both recover together- or- go the other way. What if one of you recovers and the other one doesn't though? I imagine that may slowly turn into guilt and resentment. Still- if people are looking to recover- I imagine relationships are a very important part.

Personally though- I wouldn't trust meeting someone in real life that I met here. This place does attract the odd predator and they're not always in a hurry. I think in one case- where the guy ended up sexually assalting and strangling the woman- he had been on the site for a few years. (Not sure if it was here or somewhere similar.) Probably the majority of people are sincere but it seems like a massive risk.

Still- good luck to you if you are looking for love. People here do at least seem to be very sensitive. It is sad that so many of us are on our own.
