I would presume it's better to look shrivelled up than well... in a mess like that.

I've heard all different accounts with hanging - some are lucky and merely have a mark on their neck - others their head swells and goes black. I think it depends on many factors with hanging, and remember it is extremely painful, too. It's my method

Whatever "looks better" is mainly a question of how much time passed until your corpse is found. Once you're dead the natural decay process starts immediately.

Hanging is definitely more traumatizing to the person that'll find you. Especially the face - it gets really purple and swollen. With SN, you just look like a regular, ol' corpse, maybe a bit blueish on the face. You can look up how both look and decide yourself.

Hanging is fairly benign. A little wriggling then you just hang there.
SN has stomach issues. Some barfing.
What are you good with?
(if you use the bathroom first, other issues are avoided)
