When I see people suffering from Alzheimer and al. I understand that soul is an empty concept.

People suffering from Alzheimer's doesn't refute the concept of the soul. The soul can't use the body if it's too deformed or injured, theoretically speaking, it would just remain contained in the injured body unable to communicate with the outside world.

This isnt to convince you just educate you. who says there is such a thing as better. Your miss understanding the context of your form. Look at a star even a star explodes but from that explosion comes fusion of heavy atoms. You like that sun are made of atoms which are energy. The second law of thermodynamics says energy cannot be created nor destroyed. So where do you go? No where the same place you have always been. You are to the universe what a computer game is to a computer. You are an emergent property of atoms just as a game is an emergent property of switches and electricity. You are not your body. If you cut off your legs would you be you? How about your arms? Or body? If we kept your head alive would you be you still? Yes in essence. Because what you are is an observation recored in your brain of "your" energy over time. That energy cannot leave energy is a ripple in the fabric of spacetime. That ripple just changes as it always has and always will. The biggest problem with intelligence is the illusion of intelligence. You don't have to be aware to exist just as you don't have to be smart to reproduce or know how the universe works to make a building.

Interesting.
I wouldn't say that jumping is easy… Otherwise we all would've jumped

Good observation. Jumping has always terrified me. I would agree it is not easy at all, overcoming the vertigo would be a feat all on it's own, your SI just goes completely crazy at any height. One would have to be extremely drunk with zero fucks left to give to say the least, I would imagine.

You ever been under general anesthesia? I think that's as close to death as we can experience. And I sure as hell didn't like waking up from it.

Sleeping, shitting, and living in some kind of virtual reality (be it TV otherwise) is something 90% or better of the population does anyway most of the time.

My sister in-law was injured in a car accident and has "never been the same since." as they say. She spends most of her day playing World of Warcraft because she doesn't have to feel like a cripple in her virtual reality. People immerse themselves in these things for a variety of reasons. Mostly as a distraction and source of order and reassurance in this horrifying modern world. I think.

I have never been afraid of the very fact of death and I am sure that after death there will be nothing, but I am fearlessly afraid of pain. After death, we all just disappear, it will be the same as before birth. Pain is my phobia, I FEEL TRAPPED.

That is me exactly. Only a 100% instant painless death would suffice. I haven't found it yet and it surely doesn't include N.

Death isn't nothingness, it's not a positive state, the mistake is to imagine that there is some "nothingness" that your consciousness contemplates. There is no state in death, 1 : no happiness no pleasure 2 : no boredom no suffering no angst no darkness nor any state. Why i want it ? Because nothing is better than suffering, boredom and angst. And my life already has no pleasure nor good states in it. Also positives states are temporary and conditinal, negatives states are linked to the structure of being itself, everybody lives in a terminal structure that is decaying away everyday and running toward death.

You can't lucid dream all day and the oculus rift will quickly get boring. Now if you were talking about something like that :https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experience_machine then and only then i'd agree.

The oculus rift and lucid dreaming can't solve our social/sentimental/sexual/creative needs. Only something like death or the experience machine can.

No way to really know for sure what comes next. For all I know (so so little), we come back as 4d beings that fart stars. My body is a painful prison though, and there is only one way to break out. Once I exhausted all my other options over years of treatment, it became a lot clearer there is only one decent option left, no matter how fucking terrifying it is.
