In addition to the aquarium strips, there's a simple blood test where you put a little of the SN on some drops of blood and see if it deoxygenates by turning dark. Of course it can't determine a % purity of any sort, just an indicator if that it can perform the chemical reaction. There's a bunch of posts with pics if you search 'blood'. Recommend diabetic lances or at least sterilize any pin with a flame.
