Discussion Is anybody here scared and anxious?

I'm in my 40s and scared.

I'm in my late twenties. I sometimes feel so scared. Scared of life, and living. As we grow older, life becomes harder. We're expected to do more things and be more successful in some way.

We find ourselves hanging between past and the future. We can't change the past, and we're too scared to move forward. I used to think that when I'm older, I will be more confident and more emotionally stable. However, it isn't true. Every stage is a new struggle, and we can be scared at any time, and it's okay. Life can be overwhelming, unpredictable and scary. When I get panic attacks, I wish to have someone to hold me, to hug me and tell me: "it all shall pass, you're stronger than this".

If you don't mind, I hug you tight and tell you "It shall pass, it's your battle... face the fear then you will be free. It shall be alright".

Not really. I'm CURIOUS about it I guess.

As for anxious, yeah, I'm way too anxious all the time!

Yeah, I can relate. Being alive is certainly a scary thing. I have always been anxiety prone and I suffer from overactive thoughts. Our minds do like to torture us! I'm young but I'm scared of growing older.

But yeah it's the worst. I had a bout yesterday morning. Just had to ride it out 'cause booze would have been inappropriate lol.

I'm scared.Sometimes i'm scared of everythings.i don't even know how to explain that.I'm scared of people,of situations,of things.like fear possessed me and enveloped me in a dark mantle.that's suck.

Also in my forties (49) and constantly anxious, partly becos of insomnia and also becos I'm nearly 50 y :(
Dunno, when you're young you still have your life in front of you and things could change, but when you're getting older you feel you're running out of time ....
