I see. Diagnosing bipolar disorder is tricky and symptoms can vary very much between individuals. Let's just consider the possiblity that you are my brother in insanity for a moment. You clearly seem to be agitated. Do you remember how long you've felt like this?
I am not agitated. I am resigned to living amongst humans who want to be so many things that they are incapable of being ,some want to be parents but are useless at it (my parents)
Some want to be a part of an all-seeing elf -on -the shelf police force, (which reminds me of Bloomberg's "Stop and Frisk". What is your opinion about Stop and Frisk.) I have been like this all my life. When I had to live with my parents who were WWII children and were totally PTSD, I told them when I was 5 that they had to end their relationship because they were constantly fighting, not enjoying life, creating a most miserable household situation for me and my brother. 20 years later my dad (as was his habit) violently assaulted my mom, went a bit further than during his previous assaults, broke a door in our house with his fist .
Finally my mom made the first move for separation, finally realizing the threat for her life that my dad posed. Prior to that, my brother and I had a couple of decades of hostility and depressive anti-role models to live with, becoming another generation of PTSD damaged individuals.
am resigned to living amongst such flawed but hyper-desirous humans who are just CRAZY in their desires and decision making. Crazy laws and law enforcement, crazy medical systems, crazy media, crazy environmental breaches, crazy cases of deprivation from a dignified life for many (most of them sub-equatorial) peoples, creating an ecosystem inside everyone's head and in reality on this planet with all its DNA, that is utterly vulnerable to human invasion. Human invasion is almost inevitable thanks to the Boomers who took charge of the globe and made a capitalist milking cow out of it and its Joe Doe citizens. I used to be ashamed that on paper I have a mental illness. After hitting rock bottom this summer, I am now in a position of caring so little, that I usually introduce myself to a new acquaintance with : I am mentally ill and suicidal.
It's far from censorship and placing unreasonable restrictions on voicing you're opinions and beliefs. The regulation of certain types of discussion, specifically that of religion and other types of views are preventative measures for a reason. The goal isn't to harrass, intimidate and unreasonably restrict someone's opinions and beliefs for no reason. The goal is to regulate discussions, so they don't escalate into something bigger and into full-scale toxicity.
The reason specific types of discussion including that of religion is heavily frowned upon is because of the experiences we've had on this forum on religious discussions. Each discussion has spiraled and escalated into members arguing and fighting with each other because of differing beliefs and full-blown toxicity. I've been here for more than a year, and i'm sure others who have been here for over the course of the year in both 2018 and 2019 have witnessed the amounts of religious discussions that had taken over the forums and led to several bans.
It's similar to regulating the discussion of opinions, beliefs and views that can lead to something bigger and negative because of differing views on ANY type of topic. Politics, race, sexual orientation and gender discussions, religion, etc. Some topics are heavily sensitive topics because of differing views and there bound to inevitably escalate into something bigger because not all of us agree and believe in the same things. Period.
The point of the mod wasn't to intimidate, harrass or restrict you're voice. Place yourself in the shoes of a moderator, on a suicide forum, and look at it contextually; sensitive topics of discussion including religion, elements of differing views, has the potential to spiral and escalate into something way bigger in a negative manner and learning from prior experiences of topics including religious discussion on this forum. I don't know what you said, but any type of religious discussion or a sensitive subject that's already been an issue on this forum is gonna be regulated and subject to a warning or being watched.
There's way more mitigating circumstances that come into play outside of just the assumption of restricting you're voice.
Take care.
Thanks for taking the time to write all this. I would much rather have you tell me to delete a post than debating the potential of a potential future post of mine to create something so big and negative that people here get all wound up about it.
Most of us are here because big and negative events have taken place in our lives to reduce us to longing for nothing more than instant death. Also our thoughts are critical of the why and how that brought us here. I am definitely less robust than I was before I was involuntarily committed to a psych ward and the Oddyssey to suicide attempts started. I am at the end of the day, today and will probably be for the rest of my life, suicidal for many reasons, some of them big and some of them small.
I do not consider this debate about the quality and potential danger of my posts as "small". The rest of the world blatantly espouts the same anti-free will /speech sentiments and the same desire to "police" voices that could create for others an opportunity to think and feel things that are different to what they thought and felt yesterday.
I am not even sure the person who PMed me is a moderator. He/she does not have the "staff" or moderator label. I am assuming you can look up my messaging history to learn his / her handle. The byline is
Be the change you wish to see in the world...Onwards and upwards towards the Gestapo planet !!!
