There is a world where I've found a few friends
A place I feel loved and I'm asked how I've been
The catch is that you may not know their name,
and the closest hug is through maybe three or four planes
Yet in loneliest moments, my friends are right there
They offer no judgement, give support and their care
I'm thankful for webbing connected by wires,
having a place to go when life feels so dire
And when days have gone by without saying a word,
and my mouth feels stuck shut, and the days have all blurred;
I'm thankful for fingers that continue to type
and hands that continue to consistently write
and people who listen from hours away
and never once have they tried to downplay
Grateful for you, through computer to computer
I finally found friends who will say "I'm glad that I knew her"
