I've been trying partial suspension for about a week now. I've tried it probably 100 times from all different positions and just get an intense buildup of pressure in my head with no other effects. I've tried practicing with self-strangulation but no matter what I try with that I get the same pressure build-up with no dizziness or light-headedness.

Am I doing something wrong or is it possible my physiology doesn't allow for painless partial suspension? I can't even get the slightest hint of dizziness, light-headedness or the feeling I'll pass out

You can try some different position of rope on your neck. Now blood come in your brain and it can´t come out. You must find the position, where blood can´t come in.

I've read on this forum that it may be due to your anatomy. For some people, the artery that brings blood/oxygen to your brain is simply so deep inside your neck that it can be really hard to close with a rope. Maybe that is the case for you too.

Sounds like you are only compressing the jugulars, which bring blood from the head. Blood is getting trapped in your head. So you will have to compress the carotids which bring blood to the head. Unfortunately they require more pressure. So try putting all your weight down at once instead of slowly slumping down, if that is what you were doing. The aim is to close both jugulars and carotids at the same time

Not tried this myself but have read many threads on the subject and most people find it very hard if not impossible so your not alone.

I have the same problem. Not sure how to fix this. When hanging it seems both the jugular and carotid get compressed when hanging
