Exactly as the title says. I just want to know if it's possible. If that doesn't exist, what's the closest to instant?

Jumping off and hanging can be close, CAN is the keyword though. But, oh how I wish there were more and easy ways towards an instant death.

A stroke. Undiagnosed bleeding in the brain will lead up to instant death or a vegetable. Helps to have high levels of stress and be old.

I can't think of any suicide that is an instantaneous as a gun. As others have said, jumping comes close.

Inert gas (aka "exit bag") is my primary method. If done correctly, unconsciousness generally occurs within just a few breaths.

Advantages include no "gore" and a feeling of euphoria. Disadvantages include needing to do some work learning & setting it up and cost.

Decapitation with a guillotine
Some have claimed that there is a brief period after severing the head in which some form of consciousness might linger. Not sure if there's any solid scientific consensus about it though.

once read of a guy that rigged up a guillotine in his door jamb. A timer released it while he was asleep.

pasteur blinked 10-12 times after his head was guillotined off iirc

Haha I like how you always mention the train method but you're right! I think that or jumping off a tall building are the fastest ways to ctb.

There is not. And there is not any solid scientific indication of it, even.

All that exists is a handful of ancient anecdotes that mean very, very little. That human bodies can twitch after the person who inhabited them is dead, is a well known and trivial fact.

A severed human head blinking is almost certainly just a dead bodypart twitching.

Absolutely hehe.
Jumping from height or train but doesn't recommend the latter one
For best results on jumping, you could overdose on some sleeping pills, or a strong sedative while sitting on a ledge, then once you lose consciousness, down you go.

Doing the breathing hypoxic game also works too.
