Is there anyone who failed their inert gas attempt? I have been thinking of this method for the past couple of months, got the regulator, oven bag, elastic bands, but became a bit unsure about the method after reading about people who failed with this method. Maybe the "snug" fit between the bag and the neck can be subjective? Or hyperventilation was not enough? I would really appreciate if you could share your experience.

I can't say it was a failure as I took off the mask after 15 seconds, maybe because i was under the impression that its fast acting which it most definitely isn't. And I agree with the snug part you mentioned. I had to rework the entire mask because of it.
Also, I forgot to hyperventilate beforehand.

I attempted and failed because I backed out. I didn't use a bag, instead I got an SCBA mask. I didn't like having something over my face and also didn't like how it made me feel. It was like my face was going numb and there was a slight struggle for breathes.

I still think it's a good method, just not one for me.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Did you make the gap tighter? Are you planning to do it again?

TBH I am working to make the gap looser than before, the co2 needs to pass through. And hopefully try for another real soon.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I guess it takes a while to lose consciousness even using the SCBA mask. Are you thinking of a new method?

I see! That is unexpected. I honestly thought people failing with the inert gas exit bag method is because the gap is large so that air comes through.

Just ordered some SN and going to give that a go. It definitely has it downsides, but all these methods seems to.

It is quite confusing, the PPH says it should have a finger or two worth of space, but the actual successful ones had a tighter perspective. I had to dismantle my bag where I had inserted the tube on top of the elastic and leak proofed it inside the bag. Now I am confused whether I should simply insert it from the opening, thereby leaving a naturally formed gap.

In your previous trial, do you think the gap was too large or too small?
