Method Inert gas coma

I have a new question and was curious whether you can answer it.

Whether you immediately fall into a severe hypoxic coma with 1% oxygen or does that happen after a while during that 10 minutes with the inert gas method.

With inert gas bag you would fall unconscious after a few breaths - less than 20 seconds if the flow of inert gas is continuous and oxygen drops below 0.5%

With ad-hoc methods like using hoods, it might take a bit longer
