I struggle with Hallucinations and chronic ideation so my mind is often playing tricks on me. When it gets really bad, there is nothing i can do to distract myself. entertainment will feel pointless, music will only add to the brain fog, and due to my illness TV or reading are hard to focus on. I think the only relief I have is taking meds that put me to sleep..... another reason im so comfortable with the idea of death as sleep is so similar.

I know it sure is a bad day when I can't.

I think I need to find something right now before it becomes one of those days...

As of now, rarely. But it should be noted that my daydreams aren't just used as a distraction but also as a means to cope and process my emotions, so maybe I'm actually underestimating how easy it is for me to distract myself.

sometimes i can, sometimes I can't. I'm rarely completely distracted for long, thoughts and stuff will still pop up. At least with movies or tv shows, sometimes games. But I can't concentrate long enough to read a book anymore so that doesnt work

Yes, I'm unable to be distract myself since I have anhedonia and nothing really works for me. I've always been like this tbh. That isn't to say that I don't do things at all as I do to pass the time but I wouldn't really call it a distraction as my thoughts regarding life and existence are still there. I think I could only really call it a distraction if it temporarily diverts my mind from life

Good question. I'll be honest I'm tired of distractions. The Internet and gaming has been keeping me going for years but I am growing weary of technology as well. And don't even get me started on having to piss and shit everyday lol. Living in a human body is:
